Our Camping Story!

I'll start with a very scaled down version of how we got into the camper lifestyle - because I could really go on for days 😁.

Back in 2018 we decided we wanted to take our dog, Kaya, to the ocean. After many months of researching, planning and excitement, we set off for 2 weeks in a rented C-Class motorhome. We traveled from Denver, south and west to Zion, Joshua Tree and then finally up the Pacific Coast Highway in California. We started in Santa Barbara and ended on the coast of Oregon, where we started heading back east to get home. Along the way, we had more than enough time to talk about purchasing a camper, what kind we would get and if it is something we would enjoy. We met some interesting people, saw some amazing things and had the most memorable and incredible trip to date.

Once we were home and settled, we started looking at and researching pull behind campers. After driving the motorhome and living in it for two weeks, we felt that something we could tow and unhitch was best suited for us. At the end of that year we purchased our first camper. Boy did we have some memories in that thing, both good and bad. We traveled to many places, it is where our dog spent her final days with us and where we announced our first pregnancy to some family members.

This little camper was very well loved. It traveled many miles with just the two of us and a dog (eventually Ruger became the newest camper), and eventually was where our daughter had her first camping trips, starting at a young 1 month old.

We quickly learned, as Carter got older, that our camper was going to be outgrown as our family grew. So, we were in the market for a new one. Not two months after selling our first camper and ordering a new, we found out I was pregnant with baby #2 - which was followed by a new puppy just a few months before Caden was born. Now we lovingly refer to our camper as "The Queen Mary" - it can hold the masses and actually seems to get bigger in size when it's time to park at a new camping spot šŸ˜‚.

Now that you know a little about our camping history, I am excited to share with you some of our favorite products! Since 2018, we've come across a lot of little things that make our "camping" trips a little more like "glamping". So check out the blog for my camper go-to's!!
